The cost of this class includes all tools and materials for the class except for the lasts themselves. You will walk away in a pair of ballet flats of your own making. There are numerous colors and finishes of leather to use for your shoes and a few styles of soles. We will provide the lasts in your size to use in class and the pattern for a ballet flat. Choose the full size you prefer. No half sizes available at this time. A pigskin lining will be attached as well as the top grain leather, toe and heel counter. This class is taught in 2 sessions and will be a total of 14 hours. When the class is finished, you’ll be able to order your own set of lasts and to remake your ballet flats or other style of lasted low shoe in our open studio or shoemaking support classes. We hope to spur you on to making more shoes for yourself and your friends here at the school and create a community of shoemakers who share knowledge and support. We have a limited supply of lasts, so first come first serve on a size basis. Let us know when you register for this class what size last you need. We will select and re-book students accordingly.
