Bootmakers’ Workshop

Prerequisite: Beginning Shoemaking or request by email. It is helpful but not required to take Patternmaking before attending this clinic

Not everyone can find tall boots to fit their feet or calves–this is a class where we show you how to build a pair of tall boots for yourself from start to finish.  There are a number of styles to choose from.  As you know, we teach an outstitch technique which allows for a maximum of 1/2 inch heel.  Comfort and fit are our specialties and we’re happy to hold this workshop twice a year for our students.  Look for the next class in late summer.

For those of you who’ve made a pair of shoes, it’s a chance to expand your range of footwear construction with a particular focus on how to pattern for the ankle and leg.

Tuition: $1095 includes all materials.  Special choices of sole material and hardware may be purchased on site as extras.
