Our Guest Instructor Steve Jespersen will demonstrate how to sharpen punches, knives, scissors and more. The quality of your projects depends on clean edges that come from using sharp knives and punches. We will also be teaching students how to use our electric skiver. If you want to be able to use this machine during open studio, this class is required. With the skiving machine, you’ll be able to thin out your edges for folding or hemming and reduce the bulk of your seams. Learn a lot in this 2 hour class–and bring some tools to sharpen. We’ll provide you with a leather strop and some polishing rouge to finish off the edges of your blades. If you have specific leathers you want to be able to skive, please bring some with you to class.
